Son Bou Villa Holidays

If there’s a place that’s known for hosting plenty of fiestas it has to be Menorca. Son Bou is full of people from all over the world that have flocked to the island to take part in annual festivals like Sant Joan, Sant Antoni de Juny and Romeria de Sant Marcal.

Three big festivals in the month of June obviously isn’t enough for the Menorcans and last year they added a new festival to the list – The Festival of Kites. It’s only fitting that the longest and sandiest beach in Menorca, Son Bou, be home to this popular festival. Last year plenty of participants turned up to the two day extravaganza and this year it’s expected to be even more popular. The Club Barcelona Estels and Mira-Mira de Badalona are the biggest kite-flyers in the business and they’ll be competing against each other in the skies of Son Bou.

Children will love the workshops taking place that allow them to make their own kites to fly in the festival out of a range of different materials. So if you think you can blow the competition right out of the air – why not head to The Festival of Kites on June 18/19^th.
